I’m from Bath, Maine originally, but my father taught at UVM from the time I was four, so I went through the Burlington school system. We returned to Maine in the summers where I played my golf growing up. After graduating from Colby College in Waterville, Maine with a degree in mathematics, I started work for IBM as a computer programmer/systems analyst. I’m retired now and still trying to figure out how I ever had time to work a full time job.
I won the Maine state championship once before starting to play in Vermont where I won six times between 1971 and 1985. Essex Country Club is my home course plus I also have one of those lifetime memberships at Neshobe.
I have been doing the VSWGA website since 1998 when I worked with then president Sally Guerette to design and implement the site. It’s hard to believe it was that long ago.
