CHELSEA TEE TIME SYSTEM
GENERAL INFORMATION
A. Start-up date is
April 15, 2010 (nothing before this date will be registered)..
B. There is no link of foursomes with another foursome.
C. Cart requests will be Y, N, or C (C means there are limited carts
available on that you will have to call the club to request a cart).
AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM
A. The 800 number for the automated
phone system is no longer supported.
AUTOMATED INTERNET SYSTEM linked from www.VSWGA.org
A. To gain access to the Chelsea system through the Internet, you will be required to login with your 7-digit Ghin Handicap number (including all leading zeros) and your Internet password. If your GHIN number is a six-digit number, you will need to put a zero in front of the number. For example, if your number is 123-456, then you would enter 0123456. If your number is 123-4567, then you would enter 1234567. Your initial Chelsea Internet password is “1234” until you change it. To change it, enter a unique password on your profile page. If your email address is missing or incorrect, you can also enter it on your profile page. The unique Internet password will prevent unauthorized access to your account. The email address will allow the system to email to you any requests or bookings, made or cancelled, where you were one of the golfers on the team. The system will also be able to email to you the actual course and time you received during the placement process each Wednesday.
B. Members
will be able to specify the general number of minutes they are from south
courses, the north courses and central courses of the state through the
Internet. This will adjust the time you want when we place your
request. For example, lets say that you had specified that you are 25
minutes from the south courses, 0 minutes from central courses and 50
minutes from north courses. Lets also say that you made an 8 AM
request where the primary course was located in the South and your secondary
course was located in the North. Consequently, when Chelsea tries to
place the request at the southern course, it will adjust the preferred time
to 8:25 AM. If no times were available at the South course, Chelsea
will adjust the preferred time to 8:50 AM when trying to place your request
at the northern course. ALL MEMBER’S
LOCATION MINUTES WILL BE INITIALLY SET TO “0” MINUTES.
CHELSEA PRIORITY SYSTEM
A.
Each course will be assigned a variable point value ranging from 1 to 3
points. For example, the
Dorset course is assigned 1 point, the Lake Morey course is assigned 2
points, and all
all 9-hole courses are assigned 3 points. Players will accrue points
based on the courses they have played.
B. The total points accumulated of each player in your request will be totaled together and divided by the number of players in your request to determine a team average. Those requests with a higher team average than yours will be placed before you. Those requests with a lower team average than yours will be placed after you. Requests that had the same team average are placed based on the smallest random number assigned to each request during the placement process.
C. Three and four player requests are placed before one and two player requests.
CHELSEA TEE TIME SYSTEM INFORMATION
A. Tee time requests can be made using the Chelsea call-in system up until midnight on the Tuesday immediately prior to the State Day in question.
B. On Wednesday morning (7 am to Noon), immediately prior to the State Day in question, placement will be run and tee times will be assigned. You will not be able to access the Chelsea system while placement is taking place.
C. From Wednesday 12PM until Friday 7AM immediately after placement, the tee times will be posted to the Chelsea website. Click on the Chelsea Tee Time Link on the home page to review tee times and make any changes, cancellations, or additions.
D. At 7AM on the Friday immediately prior to the State Day in question, the Chelsea System closes for that particular State Day.
E. Any changes, cancellations or additions after 12PM Friday must be made by calling the specific phone number listed in the tournament schedule on pages 24-27 of the State Day Book or on the course page in this website. Please do not call the club rep/pro shop until Saturday after 8:00am and no later than 6:00pm on Monday to make any changes.
