
State Day Eligibility
- All State Day golfers must be members of a Vermont Club hosting a State
Day and have paid their Tournament Participation Fee.
- Each golfer is responsible for maintaining a current active GHIN card
through their golf club. Anyone who cannot obtain a current active
GHIN card may do one of the following no later than 5:00pm the evening
prior to State Day:
- Download a current copy of their scoring record from www.ghin.com
or
- Call the VSWGA Office or the State Handicap Chair for verification.
- Golfers from courses that do not host a State Day may not participate in
State Days. A Club no hosting a State Day may be allowed a one-year
waiver for special circumstances when pre-approved by the Board of
Directors.
- The maximum adjusted handicap allowed in all Vermont State Women's Golf Association competition is 36.
- All participants will play in the handicap division (as defined under
State Day Rules, Registration #2) that their GHIN index indicates, even if the slope at a specific course causes the handicap to change.
- Player must have a handicap index of 36.0
or lower to participate in her first State Day of the season.
- Should a player's index go above 36.0 during the season, she may still
play.
- At season's end, if the player's index remains above 36.0, she may not
play at the beginning of the next season until her handicap index gets to
36.0. The player may submit her participation fee during regular
registration so that she will be ready to play when her handicap index
goes down to 36.0 or lower.
