State Day Eligibility

1. All State Day golfers must be members of a Vermont Club hosting a State Day and have paid their Tournament Participation Fee.
   
2. Each golfer is responsible for maintaining a current active GHIN card through their golf club.  Anyone who cannot obtain a current active GHIN card may download a current copy of her scoring record from www.ghin.com no later than 5:00pm the evening prior to State Day.
   
3. Golfers from courses that do not host a State Day may not participate in State Days.  A Club no hosting a State Day may be allowed a one-year waiver for special circumstances when pre-approved by the Board of Directors.
   
4. A participant's handicap will be determined by their GHIN index as defined under State Day Rules.
   
5. Player must have a handicap index of 36.0 or lower to participate in her first State Day of the season.  Should the player's index go above 36.0 during the season, she may still play.
   
6. Participants will play to their full course handicap.  The handicap is no longer capped at 36.
   
7. At season's end, if the player's index remains above 36.0, she may not play at the beginning of the next season until her handicap index gets to 36.0.  The player may submit her participation fee during regular registration so that she will be ready to play when her handicap index goes down to 36.0 or lower.
