The VSWGA is offering a series of girls junior golf clinics around the state again this summer. We are very fortunate to have respected teaching professional, Leo Reynolds, as the Director of junior girls golf instruction. Leo will be responsible for the curriculum and instruction of the clinics. Leo is a retired life member of the PGA and one of the strongest advocates of junior golf in Vermont.

Leo Reynolds
Leo Reynolds, 58, of Bennington is a Life member of the PGA of America. He has been a golf professional in Vermont for the past 35 years. He has served as the head golf professional at the Manchester Country Club, Mt. Anthony Country Club and at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes.
For the past 6 years Leo has dedicated his career to teaching golf at the Practice Tee in Manchester Center. Leo teaches students of all ages and abilities. His students include the reigning Vermont Women’s Amateur champion Libby Smith, 2002 Men’s State Amateur Runner-up Dustin Cone, LPGA tour player Simi Mehra and many other top New England and Vermont golfers.
Leo has been a very active member of the PGA. He has served as a vice president of the New England PGA, has served as president of the Vermont PGA on 5 different occasions and has been the chairman of the Vermont PGA’s scholarship committee for the past 17 years.
He has been very active in Junior golf during his career. He has organized hundreds of junior clinics, served on the New England PGA Junior Committee and the Vermont Principal’s Association Interscholastic Golf Committee. From 1991 – 1997 he was the tournament director for the Vermont Girls Interscholastic Championship. He has coached successful high school golf teams at Mt. Anthony Union High School, where his teams won 5 State Championships.
Professional awards include the 1994 New England PGA Junior Golf Leader Award and the 1995 Section 1 (Eastern United States) High School Golf Coach of the Year award. Leo has been named the Vermont PGA Professional of the Year 3 times and his Pro-Junior teams have won 12 Vermont Championships. In 1992, in recognition for his work with Junior golf, the Vermont PGA named the winning trophy for the Vermont Pro-Junior Championship the "Leo Reynolds Trophy."
For the past 17 winters Leo has been the head coach of the very successful Mt. Anthony Union High School girls basketball program.
Leo and his wife Pam (Fisk) have been married for 33 years and have two grown daughters, Jessica and Amy.
