Message Board Guidelines

The VSWGA is providing a new Message Board facility on our web site to facilitate communication within the organization.  Please feel free to share your ideas, suggestions, complaints, questions, and tips with other members.  Remember to keep your posts polite and respectful.

The Message Board is divided into several sections or forums. The Administrative Forum pertains to issues regarding the VSWGA Administration include Board activities, the office, the web site, finances, by-laws, course ratings and handicapping.  VSWGA President Tracy Sloan will moderate this Forum  The second Forum pertains to all state day issues including Chelsea, pace of play, scheduling, results, and points.  Nancy Myers and Suzanne Neville will serve as moderators of this forum.  The Championship Forum involves issues related to our major championships including the State Amateur Championship, Mid-Amateur Championship, Ruth Raymond Jones Memorial Seniors' Championship, Tri-State Tournament, and NEWGA.  Kathy Allbright is the moderator.  The Rules Forum is for use in asking rules questions, sharing unusual rules situations, and sharing rules and golf etiquette tips.  Shari Pfannenstein is the Rules Moderator.  Use the Miscellaneous Forum for posts which wouldn't fit in the other forums.  Phyllis Simon will be the moderator here.

We are also providing two additional forums for members to advertise any tournaments at their local clubs and to buy/sell golf equipment or other golf related items. Feel free to use the Local Tournament  Forum to post tournament notices and upload application forms.  You may also add events to the calendar.  Use the Flea Market Forum to post notices about golf equipment or other golf related items that you wish to sell or for which you are looking.  You can upload photos of your items to sell, if you wish.  These last two forums are not moderated.

This should not be a problem with our Message Board, however, there is content that is not allowed as follows:

Any posting falling into any of these categories will be deleted and could possibly result in the loss of this Message Board service.

Please remember that other members will view and reply to your postings.  Also, be careful about posting any personal information on the Message Board.  Even though our Message Board is password protected, you should not put your address, phone number or email address in your posts.  If you need to communicate with someone, you can use the Private Messaging feature.

Questions or problems with using this Message Board can be emailed to capaquet@msn.com.
