Libby Smith received a special award from the New England Intercollegiate Golf Assocation in October for her outstanding contribution to Division 1 golf. She is the first women to compete in the NEIGA championship for four years. She had her best showing in the NEIGA championship this year in Brewster, Mass. finishing 38th out of 229 golfers (men) with scores of 75-80, just 15 strokes off the lead. Libby was named UVM's co-athlete of the week for tke week of October 22-28.

Libby is also co-caption of the UVM women's basketball team for the second year and is the starting point guard. She is UVM's all time leader in games started having started every game in her career at UVM. Already this season, she has been named America East player of the week for the week of 11/12-11/18 and UVM athlete of the week for the weeks of 11/12-11/25.
