Dear VSWGA Member:
After months of preparation, I am happy to report that the Chelsea automated tee system is up and running! First call-ins can begin Monday, July 22nd for the August 6th State Days at Rocky Ridge, Alburg, and Brattleboro. A detailed step-by-step instruction sheet is enclosed.
You can access Chelsea by calling toll free 1-866-224-2631 (Pin #2360). If you are in the Rutland exchange, please call locally at 773-8881. You may make tee times for up to 4 people and link with one other foursome. PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY TO ALL CHELSEA QUESTIONS UNTIL THE END. If you wish to cancel or change your tee time later, you will need your confirmation number given at the end of the message. It is also important to know that Chelsea accepts 6 or 7 digit GHIN numbers. If you have two leading zeros in your number, please drop one zero. We do not recommend using cell phones when using Chelsea. A HELPFUL HINT…if calling for a group of friends, you can add your buddies’ GHIN numbers to your speed dial for efficiency!
Chelsea allows you to make tee time requests any time during the week from Monday through Monday – no more speed dialing on Monday mornings! Tee times are assigned by lottery on the Wednesday before the next State Day. Even after tee times are assigned on Wednesday, you can continue to book times on Chelsea up until the Friday before State Day IF space is available. Bookings, edits (add /replace players), and cancellations can also be made until noon Friday. After noon Friday, tee sheets will be transmitted to the State Day Rep or Pro Shop; and the normal procedure for cancellations and changes applies – call the State Day Rep or Pro Shop before 4 PM on the Monday before State Day.
To learn tee times, call Chelsea again or view tee times on Chelsea’s website from Wednesday up until State Day. There’s
a link on the VSWGA.org website to the Chelsea website or Chelsea’s direct address is http://www.chelseainfo.com/scripts/clublogin.dll/verify?NET_CLUB_CODE=vswga.If a course is short carts, you’ll be advised in the Chelsea message. For courses with cart restrictions, please check the website tee sheet (if you see a (C) next to your name, you got a cart). You can also call the State Day rep after Friday. There’s no need to check cart status if there are no shortages!
We have worked hard testing the system; however as with anything new, we’d be foolish not to expect challenges as we proceed into this new format. TO REQUEST A TEE TIME
1. You will hear the VSWGA welcome message and at times other pertinent information.
2. You will be given these options:

Press 1 to make a tee time request.§
Press 2 to review assigned tee times.§
Press 3 to cancel a request.§
Press 4 to edit a request (edit tee time, course or change players).§
Press 5 to make a tee time booking (to book tee times after placement)§
Press 6 to edit a tee time booking (after placement)§
Press 7 to review (or edit) your personal name greeting.
3. You will be asked to enter the date you wish to play. Enter six digits. For example August 6, 2002 = 080602.
4. You will be asked to enter your first course selection. 1=Alburg, 2=Brattleboro, 3=Rocky Ridge. You will have an option to make just one course selection, OR request backup courses if your first or second course selections are filled.
5. Enter the number of players in your group (have all players GHIN numbers ready). Up to four players may be entered. You are the "captain" as the caller. The system will ask you to speak your name as the system plays back names instead of GHIN numbers when giving confirmations. You have to do this just once. IMPORTANT: If you have two leading zeros in your GHIN number, drop one zero.
6. Chelsea asks if you want a cart. Press 1 for yes, press 2 for no. If there are a shortage of carts at a particular course, you will be advised so in the opening greeting. It is up to you to check if you received a cart in the lottery (view website or call rep/pros shop).
7. Enter four digits for the time your wish to play (9:30AM = 0930). Chelsea asks if you want to set the earliest and latest time parameters (to play within a certain time frame).
8. Request information will be played back to you. Press 1 to accept, or press 2 to reject.
9. You will be told that a tee time REQUEST has been accepted and your confirmation number will be given to you. PLEASE NOTE YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER as you may need it if you wish to make changes or cancel. Press 1 to hear confirmation number again; press 2 to link to another group; press 8 to return to main menu, or press 9 to exit.

If you want to link with another group, Chelsea asks if the link can be broken during the placement process. This means that IF two tee times are NOT available TOGETHER, can the groups be split.TO CONFIRM A TEE TIME
Enter your GHIN number. Chelsea will play back all assigned tee times for you and your playing partners.
TO CANCEL A TEE TIME
Enter the date of your original request or the 5-digit confirmation number.
Press 1 to delete or press 2 to keep.
