Anna Grzebien Wins NEWGA

Anna Grzebien, of the host state of Rhode Island, fired a final round of 65 for a three-day total of 215 to tie defending champion Laura Shanahan-Rowe of New Hampshire.  Anna was five strokes behind Laura at the start of the third day of play.  Anna went on to win the championship in a 2-hole sudden death playoff.  Dana Harrity of Massachusetts was third at 220.

Mary Anne Levins of Rutland was the top Vermonter finishing in a tie for 17th with a total of 234.  Tiffany Maurycy of Williston was tied for 21st at 236.  Only three other Vermonters survived the 2-day cut:  Kristin Turcotte-Mahoney of Rutland (242), Libby Smith of Alburg (248),  and Kathy Allbright of Crown Point (251).

Alison Walsh of Massachusetts won the junior division with total of 226 while Annette Gaiotti, also of Massachusetts, won the senior division with a total of 230.  Anna Grzebien won the Eaton Memorial ringer prize with a score of 60.
