Betty Hansen Aces Twice

Betty Hansen of Sugarbush had, not one, but two holes-in-one during one eighteen hole round of golf in Estero, Florida on March 31 during a lady's league event.   Below is the article from the local Florida newspaper.  Nice going, Betty!

Local golf: Estero woman records two aces in
one round at Shadowood

Elizabeth Hansen didn't win any money during her lady's league event
Thursday at Shadowood at the Preserve in Estero.

Odds are the 15-handicapper will remember her round anyway.

It's not every day you make an ace ... twice.

Hansen, 64, of Estero accomplished the 67 million-to-one feat after
acing the sixth hole and the 12th hole within an hour of each other.

Her 7-iron on the par-3, 125-yard sixth hole hit about five feet
from the cup and rolled in. It was sweet revenge on a hole in which
she made a 12 at the club championship last year.

Riding up to the 86-yard, 12th hole, friend Suzy Zapcynski said,
"Are you ready to go again?"

One solidly hit gap wedge later, Hansen did. The ball hit a ridge
and rolled in to the astonishment of Hansen, Zapcynski and Mary Moffa.

"We let out a bit of a holler," Hansen said.
