Reggie Parker on 18 with husband caddy

Reggie Parker of Ekwanok put together three excellent rounds of golf (77, 71, 74) to withstand the efforts of the younger generation in the persons of Molly Aronsson of Burlington and Kimberly Wong of Barre.

After the first round of play, Reggie trailed Molly and collegiate player Alison Webb of Killington by one stroke as  both Molly and Alison fired rounds of 76.  On day 2, however, Reggie shot an superb one-under-par round of 71 to surge into the lead by 5 strokes over Molly who fired a 77.  From that point on, the steady and tournament toughened Reggie never looked back and extended her lead to nine strokes shooting a 74 to Molly's 78.  Kim moved into third place with final round of 77.  Molly finished in second place and was the junior champion with a total of 231.  Kim finished in third place with a total of 238.  Ellen Lamson tied for the low round of the final day firing a 74 to pass many players and move into the top ten.

Other top 10 winners were:

Linda Duncan of Vermont National was the low net winner with a net total of 206, four strokes better than Heather House of Rutland.

Burlington Country Club won the Buxton Cup by 10 strokes over Williston.

The cup was won at the Seniors' Championship.
Burlington also won the Buxton Cup.
