Libby Smith Set For LPGA Debut

Libby Smith, 5-time Vermont state amateur champion, will play in her first LPGA event since qualifying tied for second in the LPGA Qualifying Tournament last fall. Libby will be playing in the $1,000,000 SBS Open at Turtle Bay in Oahu, Hawaii starting tomorrow (Thursday, February 16). The field includes defending champion Jennifer Rosales, Christie Kerr, Lorena Ochoa, Laura Davies, Karrie Webb, Grace Park, Juli Inkster and fellow Vermonter Patty Sheehan as well as fellow rookies Morgan Pressel and Brittany Lang.
Libby will tee it up at 7:54 (Hawaiian time) on the Palmer Course at the Turtle Bay Resort with Allison Hanna and Virada Nirapathpongporn. She will also play in the inaugural Fields Open in Kapalei, Hawaii next week.
Both tournament will be televised on the Golf Channel from 6:30pm to 9:00pm each day. You can also follow Libby in the real time scoring link on LPGA.com.
