President’s Report: The
meeting was called to order by President, Sue Ginnett.
On October 13, 2006, Sue sent an e-mail to all of the Board Members
and Committee Chairs stating we had accomplished a great deal of work at our
final meeting. Sue was convinced
that we needed to meet more often in order to get our work done.
She suggested we do our work by e-mail, addressing topics in an orderly
way. Everyone receives the
Agenda. They have the opportunity
for input. There will be a
definite outcome which will be reflected in published minutes. The Board
Members and Committee Chairs agreed this was an excellent idea. Sue sent
the Agenda for Mini-Meeting #1 & 2 in an e-mail dated October 16, 2006.
A. First Week,
Mini-Meeting #1: . Where will we
hold the Annual Meeting/Scramble in 2007?
B. Second Week,
Mini-Meeting #2: Two Requests were
made from Suzanne Neville.
1.
Establish set business hours for the VSWGA office during the summer months.
2.
Change Suzanne’s job title from Administrative Assistant to Vermont State
Women’s Association Director of Administration.
A. Decision on
Mini-Meeting #1, as of October 19, 2006:
The consensus of the Board members is that the Annual Meeting/Scramble
for 2007 will go to Crown Point.
Sue
Ginnett asked Suzanne Neville to contact Kathy Allbright, find out
particulars, who she needs to contact at Crown Point, then go ahead and take
care of the necessary details.
Committee Chairs did
not actually vote but their opinions and discussions were very helpful.
B. Decision on
Mini-Meeting #2, as of October 30, 2006:
Based upon e-mails, the Board has come to a consensus concerning the two items
for the second week on the agenda.
1.
Per Suzanne's request, we will establish definite business hours for
the VSWGA office during the summer months.
Suzanne will determine the date(s) when these hours will start and when
they will end. The office hours
will be included in the 2007 State Day Book and published on the Website.
The
VSWGA Office hours agreed upon for the summer months are as follows:
Monday
& Thursday 8:00
a.m. to Noon
Wednesday & Friday 7:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
2.
Per Suzanne's request her position will now be titled: VERMONT STATE
WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION.
There was a concern
regarding the October 10, 2006 Minutes: Shari
Pfannenstein raised the question, was it appropriate to double the major
tournament fees for ladies who are Vermont residents, hold a valid GHIN card,
but do not belong to a real estate golf course?.
3.
The Board does not wish to reconsider their decision. The entry fees
voted on by the Board at the meeting of October, 10, 2006 will remain in
effect.
Meeting Adjourned: October 30, 2006
