VERMONT STATE WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION 

Meeting:          Summer Board Meeting

Major Tournaments

Sarah Lee brought up the subject of listing all competitors’ names in the newspaper.  Some members do not want their name published due to high scoring.  It was decided to leave the publishing of names the same with all competitors listed. 

We do not have a course for next year's Seniors’ tournament.  Courses that are interested are St Johnsbury, Orleans and Sugarbush. 

Course Ratings

Carolyn Barbieri is stepping down as course rating chair.  Ellen Sheffer and Harriet Parot will be co-chairs.  Ellen will be in charge of scheduling raters and Harriet will schedule the courses. There are still 10 courses to be rated this year. 

Chelsea

Cynthia Borck brought up problems some VSWGA members are having with the Chelsea system.  Chelsea points accumulate over a two year period and when the two year period is reached the oldest points come off as the new ones are added.  It was decided to have an article about the do's and don'ts of using the Chelsea system on the web page. 

Administrative

The cost of printing and mailing the state day books is over $1000.00. We will discuss at the fall board meeting the possibility of reducing the amount of pages or eliminating the book and have the VSWGA be completely electronic. 

Final State Day

It was discussed to move the final state day from Woodstock/Quechee to other courses. Two courses that are interested are Equinox/Manchester. 

 Meeting adjourned at 4:45PM.
