Allbright, Smith Lead Vermonters in NEWGA

  

Kiersten Allbright of Meriden, NH and the Quechee Club and Libby Smith of Essex Junction lead the Vermont contingent at the 43rd Annual New England Women's Golf Championship at Torrington, CT. Pam Gosselin of Blush Hill, Lolly Katz of Sugarbush, Karen Thompson of St. Johnsbury, Kathy Allbright of Crown Point, and Aejaie Sellers of Williston rounded out the Vermont competitors.

Kiersten finished in 20th place with a 3-day total of 231. Right behind her was Libby Smith in 21st place with a 232 total. Other Vermonters surviving the cut were Pam Gosselin of Blush Hill at 247 and Aejaie Sellers of Williston at 256.

The tournament was won by Natalie Galligan of Massacheusetts by one stroke over Maine's junior player Abby Spector.
