State Day Awards
  1. Prizes for State Day Points will be awarded to the players at the Final State Day Awards and Luncheon.  Prizes, in the form of gift certificates, are redeemable for merchandise at any one participating pro shop and will be good until the expiration date of 8/15 the following year without exception.
  2. Points  will be awarded only to players who are members of a Club which hosts a State Day.  Those clubs who do not host a State Day, but have been active in the past, may be granted a one year exemption from hosting a State Day for an approved reason prior to the start of the season.  Members participating in State Day events during the year a Club is exempt are eligible for prizes.
  3. Points received in all September State Days of the year are not included in the current year's point totals but are carried over to the following year's point totals.
  4. The Board of Directors, on an annual basis, will decide the cash value and total number of prizes for State Day Tournaments.
  5. Lowering one's handicap awards:
    • In each division, a prize will be awarded to those who have lowered their handicap the most during the year.  In order to be eligible to receive a handicap prize, a player must have an established Vermont GHIN handicap from August of the previous year, and play in at least eight Vermont State Women's Golf Association sponsored events.  (i.e. State Days, State Amateur, Seniors, Tri-States, Mid-Amateur,  and New Englands.)
    • The Genevieve Babbitt Smith Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the individual who has lowered her handicap the most and will be held for one year.  In case of a tie, the player who has participated in the greater number of Vermont State Women's Golf Association events will be awarded the trophy.
  6. The Mae Murray Jones Trophy will be awarded to the club which has earned the most points in Divisions I, II, and III.  They will hold the trophies for one year.  Club points will be awarded as follows:  home club awarded 1 point for each place won, gross or net.
