State Day Points for Regular Tees

Prizes are honored for each position by alternating 1st gross, 1st net, 2nd gross, 2nd net, 3rd gross, and 3rd net.

Flights are calculated according to the number of players who played, including DQ, WD, and NC players.

Award Points are determined by the number of players per flight. If the State Day field size is 10 or fewer, only one low gross and one low net prize will be awarded. All ties will be awarded. Cumulative points earned by individuals and clubs will be posted mid-season and at the end of the season here.

Season Ending Awards

Award Point Prizes will be awarded to players at the Fall Awards Classic. Prizes — in the form of award certificates — are redeemable for merchandise at any one of the participating Pro Shops until the expiration date of September 30th of the following year. Closest-to-the-pin and Hole-in-One prizes are awarded throughout the season.

Award Points for the 2024 season will be given for the period April 30, 2024 through September 12, 2024.

The Janet Lang Trophy will be awarded to the individual with the most Award Points and will be held for one year.

Handicap Awards:  In each division, a prize will be awarded to the player who has the greatest percentage Handicap Index reduction between September 1 of the previous season to September 1 of the current season. To be eligible for this award, a player must have been a member of the VSWGA the previous season. In addition, the player must play at least 8 VSWGA events (i.e., State Days, VSWGA Majors, Tri-States, NEGA) in the current season.

The Genevieve Babbitt Smith Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the Handicap Award division winner who has lowered their handicap by the greatest percentage.  In case of a tie, the player who has participated in more Vermont State Women’s Golf Association events will be awarded the trophy.
